Snow!
Today is the second day that we have had classes canceled for a few inches of snow! Snow is very rare here so to be getting even any at all is very exciting for the Brits. The Uni has shut down and some major buses are not running either. It's really interesting to see how different the cultures are when little things such as snow occurs. I don't think anyone here even owns a show shovel and it they do they wouldn't know what to do with it! There are no salt trucks or snowplows...they pretty much just wait until the snow melts to get back to their lives. I am anxiously awaiting spring time here!

Welcome to Cheltenham!
hello from Cheltenham, England! We are finally here and safe. We had a short delay getting here, we were held up at the airport for a while due to some lost luggage of two of the memers of our group! The town is so beautiful and quaint..its everything I thought it would be. There are tons of little shops and pubs all around and everybody is very stylish. It was really interesting to see that all the stores close by 6pm every night. We already encountered some sketchy drunk men with no shoes who accused us of being "totally fake"...not really sure how to take that one. Anyways, we start classes on Monday so that will be exciting to be able to interact with other British students! Well thats all for now yankeedoodles...thats a favorite term of the Brits to call American!

Pre-Departure!
Hi everyone! So I have 3 days until my journey to England begins! I am beginning to realize the reality of it all! Up until a few days ago, it had not really hit me that I am actually going to be leaving the comfort of the US and living in a new country. I am very excited because I know it will be an amazing experience but at the same time I am also a little nervous! I am fortunate enough to have close friends going with me. I will keep this blog updated as much as I can so feel free to visit and leave comments! Also, if you would keep me as well as the other members of the group in prayer I would appreciate that. I'm so excited to see what the Lord has planned for us throughout the next five months!
